DEBUTING at the Wheels & Waves festival in Biarritz France this year, this custom BMW R65 scrambler has been build by Xabi from Atelier11 in France, and is outfitted with a surfboard carrying rack.
HIS vision of a scrambler is a slim and lightweight bike. A small headlight, narrow fuel tank and a short seat… The handlebar must be large and high, inspired by the flat-track ones for a straight, natural and comfortable riding position.
In order to be in-keeping with the minimalism of the controls, the front brake master cylinder is placed underneath the fuel tank. It´s one from a BMW K1200LT for extra stopping power.
THE classical fork, spoke wheels, megaphone exhaust, Dunlop K70 tires bring a 60/70s inspired style to the bike.
IT has a high quality finish with glossy metallic black paint (Maserati colour code), luxury leather for the seat, grips and speedometer from the Carriat tannery who also supplies leather for Hermès and Vuitton.
